At the moment this is classed as a work in progress. However anything and everything on here stands unless it is removed.
This thread needs to remain locked with no responses. TBF / HOF please send me a private message if you guys want me to add or remove anything from here.
Rules:
As we know from experiences over the years debates on these forums can get very heated, and very passionate. It is this passion that makes the discussions such high quality. However there have been situations where things have started to get out of hand.
You cannot remove argument on this board without removing the passion we have for the team/game. As such there are still guidelines to ensure that things remain civil, responsible, and tasteful.
Often personal attacks become an issue, and a large majority of posters takes part in this. While this isn't okay, I personally have only seen the line crossed a couple of times. I think this is because everyone here understands where that moral line stands, and is mature enough not to cross it. Just to make sure everyone understands, here are some things you should avoid voicing.
I understand people make mistakes, and things get out of hand. If that happens we will make sure to warn a user before taking any action. Repetitive disrespect that crosses the line won't be tolerated.
Guidelines:
You won't be in trouble if you do not follow these. I wanted to add this section because I have seen these things occurring and wanted to bring it to everyone's attention.
There have been a fair amount of duplicate threads that I've merged into 1 discussion, situations like that will go by the wayside the more diligent we are on organizing the forum.
Examples: Anthony Davis scores 40 points and has 12 rebounds. A user decides to discuss what he did to put up those stats, and creates a thread in the "Portland TrailBlazers" section. This discussion would be better suited in the "NBA General forum"
A user sees a new movie and has to talk about how good/bad it was, and posts it in the Seattle Seahawks forum. This thread would be better off in the "General Off Topic" forum.
We have the opportunity to create as many forums and sub forums as we want, as we see fit to organize the board. Let an admin know if you feel the forums are too broad by posting a new sub forum or forum idea in the suggestions thread.
The best example I can come up with to support the benefit of this would be the "Game Thread" sub forum of the "Portland TrailBlazers forum". How many times have you wanted to find a specific conversation that took place during a certain game? If all of our game threads are located in one forum it will be much easier for you to access it since it will be cataloged in one single location!

- Racism of any kind projected towards some one is not accepted. It is a good idea to steer away from any racism in general, it is ignorant and there are much better ways to express your feelings.
- If some one feels secure enough to confide something about their personal life to users on this forum, do not use it as ammunition in a later argument. I recall seeing a case of this on the ESPN forums, and it is rude, and won't be tolerated.

- On the ESPN forums there was one Singular area to create posts. I realize users have grown accustomed to creating posts in one place. However on these forums we have the ability to create, and manage multiple 'boards' where users can post on a variety of topics. I have moved a fair amount of threads from 1 'board' to another because it was originally out of place. While this isn't a massive deal, eventually it will make it easier to locate what you are wanting to talk about, and know where to look for things.

- Try to restrain from sparking political debates, or using Avatars that are politically themed as they will stir up opinions, spark argument, and create for some unhealthy discussions.
