Down 0-7 heading into the 2nd quarter. Mariota has missed a couple passes and one on 3rd down that should of led to 7pts. I'm a little nervous about that knee brace on his knee, he's not looking to run at all. What ever it is right now, got to find a way to get it together and win by 2 td's.

This shit is ridiculous. We move the ball and fail to get it in on 4th and goal. We miss a wide open WR for and easy TD. We fumble at Stanford's 2. We should have 21pts and have zero to show for it. Make things worse, we can't stop the f'n run either. Got to get our shit together and beat these clowns.

We've had some tough breaks/calls this first half. Down by 17. A crucial missed down field pass on 3rd down, coaching error going for it on 4th and goal, the fumble on Stanford's 2. Let's not forget a few things here. We're the most talented offensive team in the nation, we have the best facility in college, we've the best scoring system football has to offer, we have the soon to be Heisman running our show. We're still in this and I still expect a victory from our boys. Let's come out, get some defensive stops, cause a turn over, continue moving the football and put some points on the board. We should win this game, no reason why we lose tonight. Let get this Ducks!

Down 23-0. Turnovers and the lack of defensive stops is killing us. Put up quick points and get a few 3 and outs and we could still get this. It's looking unlikely but still in arms reach.

Definitely a coaching loss/better team won type of day. Stanford dominated the line and could have run 7 yards a carry all game long and probably would have scored a couple more times if Oregon had scored on all of their red zone possessions. So it definitely wasn't a matter of "if's" like some games are with three red zone possessions. Oregon loses that game 99 times out of a hundred with that domination of linemen.
What I think they have to look forward to is abusing the BCS (for maybe the first time I can remember since the BCS inception). The SEC loss columns are up this year for top teams (meaning there aren't a bunch of top 10 one-loss schools in the SEC), so the BCS is going to kill those teams and Bama for SOS. So they're positioned pretty well to be one of the top 1-loss teams if some of those other teams lose games. Primarily FSU, Ohio State and Alabama should Oregon drop to like 6th this week, then have those three teams lose late in their conference championships and allow Oregon to leap over them by then.
I think the trouble would be Ohio State losing, and obviously Stanford losing another game to someone. If you take those two out and then FSU and Bama lose late in the season, you could have a situation where Oregon is definitely in the mix still since their loss came prior to the conference championships and them ending the season as the top ranked 1-loss team other than Stanford (assuming they get a loss as well, otherwise it's just awkward).
10 years is fine with me, what can I do? I can still smile about the overall record between the two football programs
That's pretty sad thats the only joy you get fron Husky football these days. Overall record and Oregons missed NCG chances. Sad times for the purple puppies. I guess after getting stomped by a bitter rival for a decade the past is all you got.

Ugh...regardless if we are winning or losing we have always talked the same trash. We are simply pointing out our dominance that goes well beyond a decade; we're talking nearly a century. Just because we have greatly struggled doesn't mean we all of a sudden are inferior to Oregon. We have more hardware in our trophy case

Hey Fin,
What did you think of yesterday's game? I thought it was a coaching loss for intended purposes. I also think that Mariota is trying to be too conservative in his passing game to make his stats look better.

Dude, you're just trolling so I dont even care to have a conversation with you. Some might call it "Stiring the pot" or "antagonising" but its all the same. The only time you write stuff to me is when you want to start an arguement so just ho p!ss off.

I don't trying Mariota was trying to pad stats. He is not that kind of player. its obvious the knee injury played a big part in his game. There were a few times he would normally take off for a first down instead tried to force it into tough spots. Him not being a running threat really hurts the running game and offense as a whole.
Stanford played a great near perfect game. They excuted the game plan to perfectionm Control the ball with the power run and made plenty open field tackles. Hats off them they capalized on our mistakes and played a better smarter game.
I am disappointed but the sky isn't falling. No NCG game but we can still make it to another BCS bowl if we win out and a a couple other teams lose. Sucks but at least they showed heart and made a good comeback.

I don't think that Stanford would win 99 out of 100. The D was on the field a lot because we couldn't run the ball. They were tired. Mariotas knee isn't right and him not being a threat on the opition read allowed Stanford to key in the RB. Short drives and costly turnovers played right into stanfords game plan. Not taking anything away from Stanford they played a great smash mouth game and have the beef to beat Oregon lately. I don't think they are that much better though.

I agree with your point of view. When I said that this was a coaching loss, I was referring to the points that were left on the field by the hc and oc. In games that are close in compitition, I have learned that you ALWAYS take the points even if they are only 3. We have not been as good as in recent years on 4th down as well as 2 point conversions. Especially against Stanford, you dont let them get a lead on you because they become more aggressive in keeping the clock going and running up the TOP. if your not going to get the 7 then you better get 3.
