I have to applaud the Blazers for being classy in this matter.
Dr. Jack Ramsey gave Portland it's only NBA championship back in 1977.
Dr. Jack Ramsey was 88 when he had to retire from the game in the payoffs just this last year.
On May 10th, 2013, Ramsey announced he would immediately start medical treatment for cancer.
I am happy for both the Blazers and Jack Ramsey that they are honoring him while still living. I am sure that if Ramsey was healthy he would have came to the restaurant to see it for himself.
I thought that Coach Stotts was classy as well by wearing a plaid jacket, resemblance of one "THEE" Dr. Jack would wear.
Salute to "THEE" Dr. Jack.

The article stated that he had prostate cancer before but this sounds like a melanoma which is a skin cancer.
Ok, just wanted to confirm. I thought it was a new cancer this time too.
Treatment is never fun but at the age of 88 I get concerned over whether or not he'll bounce back from this or if he's going to decline? I think that this is a classy move by the blazers in honoring him.

This is a sad. DR Jack Ramsey is in hospice. With my experience, it could be a couple days to a couple weeks before expiring. Not saying at his age he couldnt return to health but certainly not looking good for him in my opinion.
THANK YOU DOCTOR JACK RAMSEY!!!!!
RT @petervecsey1: Sad to report, Jack Ramsay is in hospice. Nothing better over years than getting kind message f Dr Jack re column. Great coach. Greater man.

I know that we have an entertaining playoff series on our hand but think we should see the NBA equivalent to a 21 gun salute for THEE DOCTOR JACK RAMSEY.

Stotts should wear a plaid jacket for the rest of the playoffs.
